Questions
Group benefits FAQ
How small can a group be?
Options exist for groups as small as one or two enrolled employees, though availability and participation requirements vary by state and carrier. We can tell you quickly what your group qualifies for.
Are employer contributions tax-deductible?
Employer contributions toward group health premiums are generally treated as a deductible business expense, and employees typically pay their share with pre-tax dollars, which reduces payroll taxes for both parties. Confirm the specifics with your tax advisor. We are insurance agents, not tax professionals.
What is an Applicable Large Employer?
Employers with 50 or more full-time-equivalent employees are generally required to offer minimum essential coverage that meets affordability and minimum-value tests, or face a potential penalty. We help groups near that threshold understand where they stand.
What does a proposal cost?
Nothing. We prepare custom proposals at no charge. Agents are compensated by the carrier if a group enrolls, so there is no fee to compare.
